We believe we
are called to share with inmates God’s Amazing Grace, so they may know and
experience His peace and forgiveness that can only come through a personal
relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ.
Voice of the
Overcomer’s Prison and Jail Ministry is a Christian ministry that is called to
work throughout the United States and Internationally to bring change, meaning
and hope to the inmates of today and tomorrow.We are actively involved in bringing restoration between prisoners and
God, their families and their communities. (Matt. 25)
The ministry is
not only involved in evangelistic efforts, going into prisons and jails to
visit inmates and lead them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, but also
to develop an ongoing mentoring relationship with these inmates.Ongoing discipleship is established both with
the inmates while they are incarcerated and once they are released. This “after
prison” endeavor relates to housing, employment, spiritual foundation and
accountability. It is our desire to see inmates return to society as
productive, law abiding members who now see purpose and direction for their
lives through Jesus Christ.
We believe in networking with other like minded ministries and sharing
resources whenever feasible to facilitate reaching as many inmates as
possible.Therefore we have been
privileged to network with other local and national prison and jail ministries
such as Chuck Colson’s Prison Fellowship, Bill Glass Prison Ministries, Kent Lucas' Great Adventure Weekends Prison Ministry, the Oregon Department of Correction's Home for Good Program, the Christian Motorcycle Association and The
Freedom Team.
